One amazing promise

Hey guys

Just wanted to quickly share this scirpture that has been speaking to me this week:
Heb 8 (NLT)
10 But this is the new covenant I will make
with the people of Israel on that day,[c] says the Lord:

I will put my laws in their minds,
and I will write them on their hearts.

I will be their God,
and they will be my people.
11 And they will not need to teach their neighbors,
nor will they need to teach their relatives,[d]

saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’
For everyone, from the least to the greatest,
will know me already.

12 And I will forgive their wickedness,
and I will never again remember their sins.”[e]

Isn't that an amazing scripture? This new covenant has been made with me, with you, through Christ Jesus.

I totally, absolutely, 100% believe that God is very much interested in every aspect of our lives, every detail -that he wants to know us personally, and he wants to be known by us.

I love this scripture, because God makes an oath here that he will write his law on my mind and my heart, and that I will know him!

Earlier on in Hebrews, Paul writes:
Heb 6 (NLT)
14
“I will certainly bless you,
and I will multiply your descendants beyond number.”[b]

15 Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.

16 Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. 17 God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. 18 So God has given both his promise and his oath.
These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. 20 Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Abraham received the oath of God, and waited patiently, and received the promise of God.

The link for me is this: in Heb 8:10 (first scripture above) God says he will put his laws in my mind, and write it in my heart...vs. 11 says that everyone, from the least to the greatest will know him...that is God's oath to us! his new Covenant! So like Abraham, who also received the oath of God, let us also wait patiently and receive the promise of God (Heb 6: 15)! The promise is that his law will be in our hearts and our minds, and that we will know him!

I am so excited about that - I am going to wait patiently like Abraham, and I know that I will receive the promise of knowing God. I'm honestly don't think I'll be able to top that in any time soon, or in the generations to come.

Who's waiting with me??

Love you guys!
